6 large Aubergines
1 kg finely minced beef or lamb
2 large potatoes
2 medium red onions finely chopped
4 cloves garlic
1 dessertspoon coriander seeds, crushed
2 cinnamon sticks
2 tablespoons oregano
1 tin whole tomatoes
150ml beef or lamb stock
3 tablespoons tomato puree
Olive oil
Salt and pepper

For the white sauce:

50g butter
50g flour
1 large egg yolk
400ml full fat milk
50g parmesan, grated
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Salt and pepper


One hob friendly casserole dish
I large gratin dish
2 Baking trays
Chopping board
Knifes etc
Cling wrap
2 large saucepan
I whisk, spoons etc
